Working with Limerick communities to explore the topic of fairness.

In this project we have been talking about the idea of FAIRNESS within communities: locally, nationally and internationally.

The Limerick Restorative Practices Project aims to embed and sustain restorative practices (RP) within education, youth, community and justice settings in the Moyross, Ballynanty and Southill areas of Limerick City.

Communities of Culture explores the different unique cultural experiences and heritages of each of Limerick’s regeneration areas – Southill, Ballinacurra Weston, Moyross and St. Mary’s Park.

The Hunt Museum, in partnership with Limerick Restorative Practices Project, has been working with a number of Limerick community and youth groups to create a Communities of Culture project called 'In Fairness'.

This project worked with eight groups all exploring the same question: what would make our communities more fair? Their ideas form the basis for three weeks of events at the museum. These events focus on priorities identified by the groups and cover conversation, debate, skills-sharing, capacity-building, and networking across a variety of topics from direct provision to the healthcare system to relationships between the community and the Gardaí.
