Local Community Action Circle

Bringing together people who want to effect change in their community and people who have been involved in successfully changing their communities for the better. This will be an event to share ideas and learn from each other. We hope that at the end of the circle each person will commit to complete an 'action' over the week.

Restorative Meetings and Language Workshop

Learn how to facilitate a discussion, meeting or debate using restorative techniques. Restorative approaches have been shown to help to build relationships and improve communication. Facilitated by Annie Barry.
Coffee With a Cop

Coffee with a Cop brings gardai and community members together - over coffee - to discuss issues and learn more about each other. This innovative initiative was started in America - this is the first Coffee with a Cop event in Ireland! Open to all.
Conversation Café Series: A series of constructive, facilitated conversations which will hopefully bring together likeminded people on important issues.

Mindful Communities

To take care of others we must learn to take care of ourselves. A mindful community is one in which residents practice genuine self care, yet at the same time participate in making their communities better, fairer places for all. Come along to explore ways of doing this with experienced mindfulness teachers.

Random Acts of Kindness Day

For the last day of 'In Fairness' we will be teaming up with Limerick Random Acts of Kindness to create a day of kindness! Pick up your ideas pack at the museum to get you started and spread a little joy this Friday!
Each of the three weeks at the museum is divided into a theme: Conversation, Action and finally Reflection & Resilience. Each week will be documented and a final report will be produced and published on this website after the events take place. All events will take place in the Education Wing of the Hunt Museum.
